Grant Bowring

Grant Bowring has a career with over 50 years of experience in the Engineering industry and 22 years with Streaming Current Manufacture. He began his career by completing a Fitting and Turning apprenticeship. Grant played a pivotal role in establishing CNC machine technology into the family company through to today having world class high end CNC production and design facilities. JWB manufactures a wide range of equipment for the Down Hole Oil Industry, transportation and Beverage Industries. Grant had the task of productionising the original SCM for Accurate Measurements, which was launched in 2003. In 2011, Hach acquired the AccuFloc SCM, rebranding it as the AF7000 keeping on JWB Group as the manufacturer. During this time as the Hach AF7000 supplier, Grant identified all the issues with the unit. The birth of the AF9000 was driven by the need to update the no longer available electronics and in collaboration with Dan Edney the AF9000 was delivered.

Currently, Grant is a director of The AccuFloc Company, where he has been focused on developing this next-generation instrument, the AF9000, to further advance the field of Streaming Current Measurement.

Daniel Edney

Daniel (Dan) Edney is a accomplished engineering leader with 25 years of experience in product development across a wide range of industries. He holds a PhD in Control Systems and a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Honors from the University of Auckland.

Dan began his career developing instrumentation at Accurate Measurement (NZ) Ltd, including the original Accufloc later acquired by Hach (Danaher Corp) as the AF7000. His PhD revolved around Streaming Current, including inventing the novel signal processing of the Accufloc.

Dan went on to co-found Accustech Ltd, before joining IntelliStick Inc in the USA as Director of Engineering. As Director of Engineering at Select University Technologies Inc. (SUTI), he led technical development efforts for multiple university spinouts. Then, as a consultant, he developed a diverse range of products, from personal transportation devices to medical wearables and consumer IoT devices. He later joined Saritasa LLC to establish and grow their engineering department, followed by being a founder and VP of Engineering at Cutting Edge Products LLC.

Dan served in multiple leadership roles at skyTran Inc., including Director of Vehicle Engineering. He led multidisciplinary teams, oversaw system architecture and development, managed offshore collaboration with Reliance Industries, and was the inventor of key aspects of company's magnetic levitation vehicle.

In his work on the Accufloc AF9000, Dan returned to his roots in Streaming Current, applying his experience gained. The Accufloc’s magnetic actuator would not have been possible without experience in magnetic levitation.

Dan is currently the CTO of Line Mobility Inc and also active as a director of the AccuFloc Company.
